We're looking for a designer who has shipped complex products and wants to own one end to end — research through to the CSS, without handing it to someone else halfway.
What you'd work on
You'd lead design on two client engagements at a time, typically three to four months each. Most of our work is in fintech, health and commerce: dashboards, admin tools and the sort of interface where the user is an expert working under time pressure.
You'd also own one piece of studio infrastructure — our component library, our research practice, or the way we run handovers. Nobody here does only client work.
What we're looking for
- Five or more years designing digital products, some of it in-house
- A portfolio where you can explain the constraints, not just the outcome
- Comfort running your own research — recruiting, moderating, synthesising
- Enough front-end fluency to read a component and know what you're asking for
- A habit of writing things down, because half our work is remote
What would help, but isn't required
- Experience in a regulated industry
- Having built or maintained a design system used by more than one team
- Teaching, mentoring or speaking — we do a fair amount of all three
How to apply
Send a short note and either a portfolio or three pieces of work you can talk about. We read everything ourselves; there is no keyword filter between you and us.
We're a Disability Confident employer and will make any adjustment you need at any stage. Tell us what helps — it has no bearing on the decision.
